Sub-task 2: Create layout planning sketches in visual diary

Create TWO hand-sketched mock-ups in your visual diary to plan the layout for your magazine spread. From the mock-up styles choose ONE layout style that will be appropriate for ONE of the following magazines:

• a fashion magazine
• a business magazine
• a foodie magazine
• a sports magazine

Indicate where and how all the elements of the layout will be placed – see example below for the terminology:

1. background treatments
2. main headings
3. subheading/intro paragraph
4. author-name
5. pull quote
6. page numbering
7. magazine title
8. publishing date
9. images
10. body copy

The final design may differ from this mock-up, but the planning sketches provide your starting point for the layout.
